Carried Away

It took me

out to sea,

On a crest of a wave,

The cool blue after the shifting sands,

Golden, warm

under my feet.

The sun beats down,

I float on my back,

Gaze up to the sky

as the waves lap at me,

Lapping and slapping,

Reflections of light rays

glinting across the salt water,

Moving me,

Taking me.
