The Old School Tower

In years gone by,

We used to play

and in our classrooms try.

It was a brighter day,

Echoes of children’s voices,

In the old playground,

Now we’ve made our choices,

Make the most of what we found.

The old school tower,

Victorian, majestic and tall,

Along the skyline scour.

We played ball by the wall,

Now there is no more,

Left with ivy and decay,

I reminisce of days of yore,

The sky turns to grey.
