Cheer Up Sunshine!

If you’re feeling low,

Count your blessings in a row.

Keep the sunshine in your soul

and reach up for your goal.

Don’t hang around clouds and tears,

Dispel all your fears.

You will be fine,

So cheer up sunshine!

Watchin’ Comedy Shows… on a Monday.

It’s the start of the week

and it needn’t be bleak.

Watch a comedy show or two,

So you don’t feel blue.

Old reruns on the telly,

It’ll nearly ache your belly.

So as Monday comes round,

A crack of joy might be found.

Oh! Ha! Ha! 😅

Time Goes On

What has past,

It doesn’t last.

Thought forever would stay,

But of course, it’s not that way.

For time doesn’t stand still,

Through energy and will.

Also things around change,

Move about and rearrange.

Playground Days

The days of yore

are brought to the fore,

When I walk past the school,

When life was cool.

We all played games together,

In most types of weather.

Played French skipping,

Some scrapes from tripping.

”Tag you’re it!”  And kiss chase,

Tease and pull a face.

British Bulldog too,

This is where we grew.

Worrywort

It goes around,

Where misery’s found.

It’s a habit to break,

Do it for my own sake.

For it’s no use to worry,

Or be in a hurry.

A worrywort am I!

It makes me cry,

But a solution I’ll find

If I treat myself kind.

Oh no! 😦     Ahaa!  😀

Here We Go Again

It’s another day

and when skies are grey,

You have to keep going,

Keep on showing

up for work and get on

and when hope is gone,

Get up and go again,

Turn your music up to ten!

Black Coffee

After not much sleep,

It’s no good to weep.

‘Cos it’s black coffee day,

So you can find a way

to keep more awake.

Keep cheerful for everyone’s sake!

The bittersweet taste,

Don’t let it go to waste.

Aah! Coffee!  🙂

Go to Sleep Dear

Have a cup of tea,

Now let’s see.

Would you like a jammy dodger?

Lovely! You old codger!

Oh! It’s only a joke,

Would you like a smoke?

No, don’t! I fear,

Go to sleep my dear.

Try Harder

It makes me cry,

The harder I try.

Can’t seem to go fast,

This job won’t last.

I’m writing this rhyme,

In double-quick time.

Now I gotta go,

Try not to be so slow?

Just In Time!

This wasn’t my plan,

To the bus I ran.

Time’s not on my side,

If I want to make the ride.

I’ve got to run quick!

The time will tick.

Phew! I’ve made it in time,

I hear the clock chime.
