Oh, sweet serene,
My eyes glance up,
To the treetops green,
Against skies a steeley grey.
Birds flown to roost,
It is here I stay,
The waters still,
Boats in the dock,
The day is tranquil.
An eerie silence,
A distant rumble,
A broken fence,
The clouds crumble,
Into rain as a drizzle.
The shadows blanket over,
I run for shelter,
Under the cover.
The pitter patter,
Then the gush ‘n’rush,
As the skies open,
The roof clatters,
As I crouch on the ground,
The flowers take the weight,
I am lost and found,
A long time to wait.
